Wayne L. “Buster” Flowers, age 69
of Wheeler, IL passed away at 9:02 AM - Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Memorial
Hospital in Effingham, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM – Monday, October 7, 2013 at the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL with Nate Hagen officiating. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery near Willow Hill, IL. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM – Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL. In loving memory of Wayne, memorials may be made to the Latona Church of Christ Building Fund.

Wayne was born on August 6, 1944 in Effingham, IL the son of Floyd and Lottie May (Main) Flowers. He married Barbara Short on April 23, 1994 in Newton, IL.
Wayne was a factory worker. He was a member of the Latona Church of Christ. He enjoyed working on cars; NASCAR and spending time with his family.

Brothers – Raymond (Georgia) Flowers of Lakeland, FL
Kenneth Flowers of Dieterich, IL
Sisters – Patty Gottenberg of Ottawa, IL
Carol Moore of Effingham, IL
Grandchildren – Christopher (Leah) Tracy of Hidalgo, IL; Steven Tracy of Montrose, IL; Mason (Brooke) Flowers of Effingham, IL; Nicholas Ross of Aurora, IL; Aaron, Samantha and Paige Walk all of Wheeler, IL.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters Dorothy Harper, Lillian Schenck and Gladys Jones.
